My Story

Hi! I thought it might be time to introduce myself…

My name is Shannon and I’m a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor.

Growing up I wouldn’t describe myself as an athlete. I didn’t do sports, I avoided getting to PE on time, and felt incredibly uncomfortable in my body.

in college, as the good millennial that I am, I turned to google for my question “how to lose weight?” Google told me to “eat 1400 calories and daily cardio.” I started running daily and counting every morsel of food I ingested. It consumed my day to day. I wasn’t happy. I was tired. I was depressed. Yet, I continued this for 4 years. Running. Counting. Running. Counting.

Eventually, it clicked that this wasn’t sustainable. I ditched the calorie counting and 2 hour workouts. I started to ask myself what I wanted? What feels good to me?

I got into a groove with finding movement that felt joyful, and was not about aesthetic goals, but a feeling. Feeling strong. Feeling confident. Feeling like me.

Thinking back to my 15 year old self, i wanted to create a community where she would feel welcomed. A place where we work together to build confidence, feel strong AF, and move with joy. Whether you are just beginning your movement journey or getting back into it… know that EVERY body is welcome here. 🫶🏻
